How To Care Zebra Danio

Danios are good fish for begainers. There are some trick that you should know before starting your fish tank.

Tank

Danios leaves in a group so you need a large aquarium. Ideally you should have at least five to six fishes in a aquarium. So you need a minimum of 25 gallon water holding tank. a group of 3 fishes can be put in a small tank but that can lead to aggression or stress. Don't keep a danio alone in a tank.

Dacore

Add a layer of well rinsed gravel or sand and add some live plant on the bottom part of the tank. They need lots of space to swim and they are swim  mid-label on the tank so keep space for your fishes. Live plant and decoration are necessary they give them hiding space, but should not interfere with movement.

water

Fill your tank with RO water(If you trying to use tap water be careful tap watar contain chlorine it is very dangerous for sure fishes dechlorinate with declorinator before using) and temperature should be 70–75ºF (21–24ºC).

Cycle your tank

Before adding any fish Properly cycle your tank. During cycling period regularly measure the amount of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrate with a water testing kit. And water pH should be 6.5-7.2.

Feeding

They don't need any special food. Each danio should only need a couple bites of food each feeding, 2–3 times per week, but can be fed each day if the other fish in the aquarium need feeding each day. Overfeeding can cause bloating as well as harmful chemical build-up in your water. Only feed the fish as much food as they can eat in 3 minutes. This is a general rule for all freshwater aquarium .

Filtration

Filtration system are the main lifeline of any fish tank. Use a filter as par your tanks bio-load.
